Gaming PC shortlist review
Reviewed on 2026-07-11 for modern AAA gaming, especially Destiny and Call of Duty. The ranking weights gaming performance first, then value, warranty/support, storage, RAM, PSU, and obvious upgrade concerns.
Important caveat: PCSpecialist prices were supplied manually because their pages hide prices when JavaScript is unavailable. The Gotraka page was fetchable separately and exposed price/specs.
Quick recommendation
Best confirmed buy: Gotraka GTR Gaming Spartan at GBP 2,664.24. It is the cheapest confirmed RTX 5080 + Ryzen 7 9800X3D system in the list, with 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, 1000W Gold PSU, Wi-Fi, Windows 11, and a 3-year warranty.
Best around GBP 2,200: PCSpecialist Momentum Master at the previously supplied GBP 2,199 inc VAT. It has the best CPU in the RTX 5070 Ti group and is a better gaming buy than the similarly priced OcUK Mach 5G.
Best if warranty matters more than pure value: Chillblast systems include a 5-year warranty, but their confirmed prices are generally weaker for the hardware.

1. Gotraka GTR Gaming Spartan

Verdict: This is the best confirmed deal. The RTX 5080 is the biggest performance jump in the list, and the 9800X3D is exactly the CPU you want for high-refresh shooters. It is hundreds cheaper than the confirmed OcUK/Bedrock/Chillblast RTX 5080 options.
Reservation: Gotraka is less established than Overclockers UK, PCSpecialist, or Chillblast. I would check return terms and support reputation before ordering.
2. PCSpecialist Eclipse R20

Verdict: This is the best PCSpecialist option now that prices are confirmed. It is more expensive than the Gotraka, but cheaper than the OcUK RTX 5080 systems and keeps the ideal gaming pairing of Ryzen 7 9800X3D plus RTX 5080.
Reservation: the SSD is a slower PCS-branded drive rather than a Samsung 990 Pro-class drive, but that barely matters for game frame rates.

Verdict: Strong, sensible high-end gaming PCs. These are easy recommendations if the buyer prefers OcUK and wants a known UK retailer.
Reservation: the Gotraka gives very similar headline gaming hardware for about GBP 336 less, and the PCSpecialist Eclipse R20 gives the same CPU/GPU tier for GBP 100 less.

Verdict: Powerful PC, and at GBP 2,999 it competes directly with the OcUK RTX 5080 systems. It may be better for mixed gaming/productivity use than some Ryzen options.
Reservation: for this gaming-focused brief, I would still prefer a Ryzen 7 9800X3D with RTX 5080 at the same or lower price. That puts the Eclipse R20, Gotraka Spartan, and OcUK Mach 6/Indigo ahead of it.

Verdict: On paper, this is one of the best builds in the whole list: excellent CPU, RTX 5080, fast low-latency RAM, premium SSD, good motherboard, and strong PSU.
Reservation: it is GBP 350 more than the PCSpecialist Eclipse R20 for the same CPU/GPU tier. The better motherboard and Samsung SSD are nice, but they are not worth that much for gaming.

Verdict: Fast and premium, with a large 4TB SSD and high-end motherboard. If the CPU listing is correct, it is a very powerful system.
Reservations: the CPU name should be double-checked because it is unusual, and the price is high. For games, the cheaper Eclipse R20 is the better buy unless the buyer really wants the 4TB SSD and premium board.

Verdict: Good premium build, with strong RAM and PSU. Performance should be excellent at 1440p and 4K.
Reservation: it costs more than the OcUK RTX 5080 systems and much more than the Gotraka, without a gaming-performance advantage.

Verdict: Fast and well-backed by warranty, but the gaming uplift over other RTX 5080 + 9800X3D systems will be small.
Reservation: the extra 64GB RAM is not worth the price premium for Destiny, Call of Duty, or normal AAA gaming.

Verdict: Best confirmed GBP 2,200-ish gaming option. The 9800X3D gives it a better gaming CPU than the OcUK Mach 5G while keeping the same RTX 5070 Ti GPU tier.
Reservations: RAM is slow/high-latency versus the better 6000MHz CL30/CL36 kits, and the PSU is weaker than the Gold-rated OcUK/Chillblast/Gotraka systems.
10. OcUK Gaming Mach 5G

Verdict: Still a good 1440p gaming PC. It is a good fallback if the PCSpecialist Momentum Master is unavailable.
Reservation: same price as the Momentum Master but with a weaker CPU.

Verdict: Strong all-AMD gaming PC, especially for raster performance. The 9800X3D is excellent and the 5-year warranty is attractive.
Reservation: for this budget, I would usually prefer an RTX 5070 Ti system for NVIDIA features, DLSS, ray tracing support, and better value. The RAM speed is also low.
